Nauset Heights lost power at midnight on Friday as the “Nemo” storm descended on Cape Cod. Power appears to be out for most of the Outer Cape as well. Driving is still illegal due to the Governor’s ban until 4pm Saturday.

Before the power went out, the bluff was sustaining constant winds of 60 mph. Without power, our webcams and weather station are offline. Webcams for the town beach and Eastham’s beach are offline as well.

Sunday, Feb 10, 2013 11am: Power is still out in Nauset Heights. About 4,000 (60%) of homes in Orleans are without power. NStar isn’t reporting an estimated repair time yet.

Sunday, Feb 10, 2013 12:13pm: Power has been restored to some of Nauset Heights. Standish Road has power, but Priscilla Road doesn’t No other reports are in yet, but NStar down reports 36% of Orleans is still without power.
