Dr. George L. Robb, 74, died unexpectedly from cardiac arrest on October 19, 2009.  A beloved pediatrician for 37 years, Dr. Robb graduated from Mt. Hermon in 1953, Harvard in 1957, and Harvard Medical School in 1961.  After an internship at Children’s Hospital in Boston, he served as Captain in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg from 1962 – 1964. He then settled in Westwood and began his pediatric practice in Dedham.

Edith Williams Dunham, 86, of Naples, Florida, St. Huberts, New York, and East Orleans, Massachusetts died Friday, October 2 in Naples. The daughter of Charles Wyatt Williams and Hope Johnson Williams, she was predeceased by her husband William Putnam Dunham and daughter Susan Hope Dunham.

Mr. Karlson was born in Worcester, the son of Albertina Swanson and Andrew Karlson, who emigrated from Sweden. He acquired his love of the outdoors in Worcester, where he hunted, trapped, fished and gardened. In 1933 he earned his bachelor of science degree in horticulture at the University of Massachusetts. There, he met his future wife, Myrtle “Wendy” Stebbins Gary. She was the wife of Arthur A. Howe. Mrs. Howe was born and grew up in Canajoharie, NY as the only daughter on the championship Guernsey cow farm of Judge Newton J. Herrick. She remembered the beautiful cow faces as well as the very long horse-drawn sleighs in the winter.
