From the Town: We currently have three active piping plover nests in the Pochet Washover areas just South of the Nauset Beach Parking Lot. The eggs in the nest was due to hatch on May 30 when it was last checked at 1:00 p.m. today June 2
Alden Road Post-Improvements
Check out the new and improved Alden Road! Feel free to leave any thoughts in a comment below. Dick, The job came out well I think it was money well spent. It rained here about an inch and a half last night so I went over this morning to see how the drainage was doing and things looked good. Peters says we should get some "SpeedBump" signs so that people know what is coming and he also said that he might need to put steel rods down through the timbers to keep the speed bump from shifting. Improving Alden Road
Written by Dick and Elena Rowson Dear Alden Road neighbors: We wish to raise with you the need to improve Alden Road between Doane Way and the intersection with Iyanough Road and to report on what we with two of our neighbors are doing, come Spring. First: On entering from Doane Way (we still know it by its proper name from years past) one must maneuver passage through big puddles (following a rainfall), which are large, ungainly potholes any other time.
