Mark Ayer
Mark has been coming to the Cape all his life. He has enjoyed many summers on Nauset Heights when his parents bought on Harris Road in 1969. In his younger years he spent the summers working on the Lobster boat, Loon Cry, for “Captain Mike”, moored off of Priscilla Beach. He graduated from Roger Williams University with a degree in Marine Biology. He is now Managing Director of Nauset Light Partners, an investment banking firm and enjoys boating, fishing and spending time with family. He now lives here, on Nauset Heights full time with his girlfriend, “Bigs” and their dog Bentley at 16 Snow Goose Lane.
Nancy Case
Nancy and her husband Jim have vacationed on Cape Cod every summer for the past 30 years, finally purchasing and rebuilding their home at 28 Priscilla Road in 2008. The Cases have two children, both going west to play water polo and swim during college and consequently staying out west to start their careers with both now living in San Francisco. Leaving her career in Marketing Research, Nancy was a stay at home mom heavily involved in numerous volunteering positions throughout the years, including PTA president, chairwomen of the annual school fair, girl scout leader, and aquatics video coordinator. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys gardening, antiquing and cooking. They spend the offseason at their home in Old Greenwich, CT.
Chip Farnham
Chip is a lifelong summer resident. He and his wife Laurie spend most summer weekends at the family home, 31 Nauset Rd. Chip and Laurie reside in Barrington, RI during the off season. Chip has spent his career in the marine industry as a supplier of marine equipment to boat builders and boat yards around the US. He has two adult children, Colby and Liza. He enjoys boating, golf, ice hockey, clamming, and, of course, spending time on Nauset Beach.
Elyse Klein
Elyse and her husband, Bob Buchsbaum, are recent cottage owners after over a dozen years vacationing in Nauset Heights with their children, Will, Seth and Tess. Chicago is home the remainder of the year though eventually they hope to split their time more evenly. Trained as an art conservator, Elyse practiced for 20 years before staying home to raise her children. She still appreciates fine art and antiques and paints in her spare time. Having served on school fundraising committees, ice hockey club boards and as a kitchen lead for a food rescue organization that prepares meals for the homeless, Elyse is eager to contribute to the NHA community that has become her second home.
Caroline Ogonowski
Caroline Ogonowski is the Chief of Staff at Edesia, in North Kingstown, RI. Edesia is a non-profit social enterprise that makes life-saving ready-to-use foods that are used in the treatment and prevention of child malnutrition in humanitarian crises around the world.
Prior to joining Edesia, Caroline worked as a team lead at the U.S. Agency for International Development in the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance. In this role she worked around the globe on natural disasters and complex crises including Ebola outbreaks in West and Central Africa, complex emergencies in Ethiopia, Nigeria and Venezuela, drought in the Horn of Africa, hurricanes across the Caribbean, and the recent earthquake in Haiti.
Caroline has a BA and MA from Boston College. After departing Washington, D.C., she moved back home to New England, and now lives in Newport, RI. She spends her summers in the Heights.
Kathy Pattison
Kathy Pattison joined the NHA Board in 2010 and currently serves as Corresponding Secretary and Membership Chair. Kathy is a seasoned marketing pro specializing in guiding early stage technology companies in branding, positioning and corporate communications strategies. Kathy has held marketing positions with Kaarta, Fiksu, Color Kinetics, Apple, Psion, Quark, and various consulting projects to new startups. She holds a dual degree from Syracuse University. Kathy, her husband Dave Strickler, and their two children joined the Nauset Heights community in 2008 when they purchased their cottage at 1 Standish Rd, and spend as much time as they can get in the Heights during in the summer and shoulder season weekends. They live in Boston’s South End neighborhood the rest of the year.
Josh Payne
A long time summer time visitor to the Cape, Josh and his family purchased a home on Nauset Heights in 2021 and spend as much time as they can on Nauset Heights in the summertime. A long-time Boston area resident, Josh has worked in the software industry his entire career in a variety of roles, typically at startups. Josh and his wife have two teenage children and a friendly, loud, little dog named Oscar.

Dave Strickler
Dave is a serial tech entrepreneur, having formerly founded and served as CEO of MailWise and Strickler Holdings. Dave spends summers with his wife Kathy and their two children at their home at 1 Standish Road and lives in Boston during the balance of the year. He is an avid beekeeper – a lifelong interest he was finally able to fulfill at the Cape – and the gardens throughout the Heights are all the better because of it. Dave is the resident computer expert and volunteers much of his time helping with all things technical, including running this website and other NHA systems. Dave joined the NHA Board in 2014.
Paul Soules
Paul and his wife Deborah have been living year-round in the Roberts home on Doane Road since April 2019. Deb’s parents purchased the home in 1969 and Deb has many fond memories of times spent in Nauset Heights since childhood. Paul first came to Nauset Heights in 2005 after meeting Deb. He is originally from Dallas, Texas and lived 32 years in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Cape Cod. His career in the insurance and financial services industry has spanned 50 years. Paul is semi-retired but enjoys helping people with their health and Medicare insurance needs. Paul and Deb love spending time with their dogs, Henry and Juney. Paul enjoys gardening, golf and learning about Cape Cod.
Kim Stott
Kim grew up spending time on the Cape with her family and now cherishes the time she spends in Nauset Heights with her own. Kim lived and worked in Boston, but now dedicates her time to volunteering at her boys’ school and staying involved in her hometown of Wellesley. She loves beach and boating adventures on and around Nauset with her husband, twin boys and two black labs.
Scott Zenke
Scott has been coming to the Cape nearly all his life, now residing year around in the family home on Doane Road with wife Carol since 2020. Two children Scott/Jen and Nancy/Tom Dawicki and 5 grandchildren and Dog Charlie.
Enjoy fishing, beach, golf and being on Nauset Heights: a very special place.
